In celebration of my last day of saturday classes for the rest of my life and in celebration of yesterday's last day of friday classes for the rest of my life, I decided to award myself with the responsibility champion award from Allie Brosh's Hyperbole and a Half blog

If you haven't read her blog before, give it a try. It's full of crazy stories about her life and random things all illustrated with pretty pictures.
Anyway, off to go study for my last summer class :)
Gettin' shit done everyday,

Janine;
Thank you for submitting your graduation petition for December of 2011. I am pleased to confirm that you are on track to graduate in December of 2011. To fulfill your MBA degree, you will need to complete MGMT 619-Capstone in the Fall 2011 quarter.
Now I have to pretend like I never got this email from school to ward off the senioritis
Drowning from under the pile of books and papers,

And so now summer school has begun
I'm sitting in my finance class which goes from 7:45 to 10:15
at night (zZzZzzzZZZZzz)
And...
I'm the only female in the class
Wow, I better step it up this quarter
It's going to be a quarter full of coffee and studying, yay me!
ugh, off to go try to pay attention and not think about passing out
(insert some excel macros formula here to show my love),

Hey there world! It's been an incredibly incredibly long time since I've posted. After New Orleans, I had about a week and a half to scramble some school work in and then I jetted off to New York to see my lovely cousins and celebrate my cousin Christina's engagement to the love of her life, Gus. It was a fantastic weekend filled with family (that I haven't seen in more than 7 years...7 YEARS! ay caramba). We did some dress shopping (which I can't share the pictures of), ate a lot of really good food and had some nice family time over Memorial Day Weekend.
My mom and I landed in Newark on Friday and were treated to wine and a lobster dinner with my cousins, my uncle and Gus. We had some giant giant lobsters with butter and some roasted duck and stir fry.
Such a fun night and great weekend! Took me a few days to recover from that one. Haha.
After I got home, it was crunch time since it was the last week of school and I had about 7 papers to finish before the quarter was over. It's not very interesting so I won't share, but I basically felt like death at the end. I've finally recovered after sleeping 18 hours, cleaning my house and having a celebratory drink with Matt last night at Wine Affairs.
So now, I have about a month before summer classes start and I hope to enjoy the outside, when it gets warm enough to go outside...It's grey and gloomy and cold right now
Along with that I'm working on a few knitting and crocheting projects for the new baby Nilsson (YAY!) and just got a copy of Gourmet Today in the mail (about a month ago but who's counting) so I'm ready to cook, clean and use up all my yarn.
Summer!!

Saturday was a full day of dress shopping. We went to two bridal salons in New Jersey and had lunch in Morristown at a place called the Urban Table. Good food, I had the fish burrito which was sooo tasty. It was a light white fish (maybe Mahi Mahi?) dusted with some cajun spices and wrapped in a burrito with lettuce and beans and rice on the side. Super yummy. Dinner on Saturday night was at a place named Mizu where we had hibachi

Then Sunday was the big day! The girls went to go and get our hair done and got some fun feathers in our hair and then we headed over to the Lake Club. It was a gorgeous location and was decorated so nicely!
Congrats Christina and Gus!

We also had a giant cake

This is what school does to my eating habits...
Dinner at 9:30pm
Cooking once, MAYBE twice a week
Eating leftovers forever..
Lots of weird cravings around finals time.
I know I promised a picture from my finals and my singles weekend and here it is in all of its glory!

Contents:
Computer
Yerba Mate Mint Drink
Five Guys double bacon cheeseburger and cajun fries (a bit too overhyped but at least I tried it)
Books, notes, water, notebook and tissues for when I break down into hysterical sobbing from studying for too long.
Messy messy house (usually a sign that I've been in school too long)
Yes, that is how I spend my singles weekend when my boyfriend is out of town snowboarding his heart out in Tahoe. It is a fun life, please do not envy me, I promise you, only the best can handle this kind of lifestyle.
And now I've started with my Spring 2011 quarter. My LAST SPRING QUARTER EVER! It is my 8th quarter of school and I am really ready for it to be over.
It's only the second day of school and I'm already starving. After and quick and awesome grocery run at Sprouts (the best market to exist in history), I came home to attempt a 30 minute meal (because I already have homework...on the second day of school)
Here it is!! Catfish cooked en papillote with miso, soy sauce and sesame oil and curried pork noodles with bell pepper and onion. It is so so so good and yes, I am enjoying my meal with a couple of glasses of Cabernet. And yes, I am doing my homework.
Homework while drinking..
Yes please!
