This book was really a joy to read. I got sucked into the world of the characters almost immediately. The book is split into sections that are narrated from a specific characters point of view. This really helps to immerse the reader into the mindset and character development. The book was altogether heart-warming, gut-wrenching, hilarious, sweet and frustrating. It took me through such a range of emotions based on what the character was experiencing. I know the movie is out, but I'm always an advocate of book > movie although I hope to see the movie in the future. :)

Just a warning, if you're a stickler for grammar/spelling/word flow, it might be a little hard to read this book. It's literally written in the words of the character which can be thick on the southern. Hope you enjoy this book as much as I did! (Just try to not stay up until midnight desperate to finish it like I did)
